In Charleston, South Carolina, Theodosia Browning Theodosia Browning is euphoric that her Indigo Tea Shop is a success though that means working even harder with keeping her proprietary blends current.  The Charleston’s Neptune Aquarium manager hires Theo cater the private party honoring those who made the attraction happen.

 

At the gala, Theo takes a breather only to notice a man’s corpse trapped in a net in one of the tanks.  On the surface, the death of Theo’s former boyfriend Parker Scully looks like an accident, but the tea guru notices his hands has wounds as if he was defending himself.  She offers her theory to the cops who blow her away as a “grieving” ex.  Unable to walk away as she knows she should, in between catering Theo investigates only to learn Parker had some nasty partners in questionable deals; some of whom want her inquiry ended immediately anyway possible.

 

The latest Tea Shop Mystery (see Scones & Bones, Oolong Tea and The Teaberry Strangler) is an entertaining amateur sleuth that as always showcases the charm of Charleston with a cup of tea.  Putting aside why the heroine investigates especially when her plate has too many scones on it already, fans will enjoy this fun regional cozy starring a heroine who needs 72 hours in a day
